안녕하십니까.
제44대 한국재무관리학회장 정성훈입니다.

2026년 새해를 맞아 회원 여러분과 가정에 건강과 평안, 그리고 학문적 성취가 함께하시기를 진심으로 기원합니다.

한국재무관리학회는 1982년 창립 이래 재무·금융 분야의 학문 발전과 정책·실무 논의의 중심으로서 중요한 역할을 수행해 왔습니다. 급변하는 금융 환경 속에서도 학문적 깊이와 사회적 책임을 함께 추구해 온 것은 회원 여러분의 헌신과 참여 덕분이라 생각합니다.

오늘날 자본시장은 국가 경제성장과 기술혁신을 뒷받침하는 핵심 기반입니다. 그러나 제도, 시장 구조, 기술 환경 전반에서 여전히 개선과 혁신이 요구되고 있으며, 학계·산업계·정책당국 간 유기적인 협력 체계 또한 충분히 구축되어 있지 않은 것이 현실입니다. 그 결과 자본시장 현안에 대한 체계적인 대응과 중장기 발전 전략을 논의할 공론의 틀이 부족하다는 문제의식이 제기되고 있습니다.

이에 저는 2026년 학회 운영의 핵심 과제로 「한국자본시장포럼」의 설치 및 운영을 추진하고자 합니다.

한국자본시장포럼은 재무관리학회 산하 공식 기구로서,
첫째, 산·학·연·정 협력 플랫폼을 구축하여 자본시장의 구조적 과제와 미래 방향을 종합적으로 논의하고,
둘째, 학술 연구 성과가 정책과 제도 개선으로 이어질 수 있도록 연결하며,
셋째, 산업 현장의 실무 과제와 시장의 목소리가 다시 학문 연구로 환류되는 선순환 구조를 만드는 것을 목표로 합니다.
아울러 국회 정무위원회, 기획재정위원회 등과의 정책 소통 창구로서 기능하며, 실질적인 정책 제언과 공론 형성에 기여하고자 합니다.

이와 함께 학회는 신진 연구자의 참여 확대, 실무 전문가와의 협력 강화, 지역 및 국제 학술 교류 활성화라는 기존의 핵심 가치 또한 충실히 이어가겠습니다. 학문적 엄정함을 지키면서도, 현실의 문제를 해결하는 데 기여하는 학회로 한 단계 더 도약하고자 합니다.

회원 여러분의 지혜와 참여가 무엇보다 중요합니다.
2026년 한 해도 학회의 다양한 활동에 적극적인 관심과 성원을 부탁드리며, 함께 대한민국 자본시장의 미래를 설계해 나가기를 기대합니다.

Dear Members of the KFMA,

Greetings.

I am Seong Hoon Jeong, the 44th President of the Korean Financial Management Association (KFMA).

As we welcome the New Year 2026, I sincerely wish you and your families good health, peace, and continued academic achievement.

Since its founding in 1982, the KFMA has played a pivotal role in advancing scholarship in finance and financial management, while also serving as an important forum for policy-oriented and practice-based discussions. Even amid a rapidly evolving financial environment, our Society has consistently pursued both academic rigor and social responsibility, an accomplishment made possible by the dedication and active engagement of our members.

Today, capital markets constitute a fundamental pillar supporting national economic growth and technological innovation. Nevertheless, substantial challenges persist across institutional frameworks, market structures, and technological environments. Furthermore, effective and organic collaboration among academia, industry, and policymakers has yet to be fully established. As a result, there is a growing recognition of the need for a public platform that can systematically address current capital market issues and facilitate discussions on mid- to long-term development strategies.

Against this backdrop, I intend to promote the establishment and operation of the Korea Capital Market Forum as a core initiative of the Society in 2026.

As an official body under the KFMA, the Korea Capital Market Forum will aim to: first, build a collaborative platform that brings together academia, industry, research institutions, and policymakers to comprehensively examine the structural challenges and future direction of Korea’s capital markets; second, bridge academic research outcomes with concrete policy and institutional improvements; and third, foster a virtuous cycle in which practical issues and market insights from the field are continuously fed back into academic research.

In addition, the Forum will serve as a channel for policy communication with the National Assembly, including the Strategy and Finance Committee and other relevant committees, thereby contributing to substantive policy recommendations and informed public discourse.

At the same time, the Society will remain firmly committed to its core values by expanding participation opportunities for early-career researchers, strengthening collaboration with practitioners, and further invigorating regional and international academic exchanges. While upholding the highest academic standards, we aspire to take a meaningful step forward as a Society that contributes more directly to addressing real-world challenges.

The wisdom and engagement of our members are essential to achieving these goals. I kindly ask for your continued interest and support for the Society’s activities throughout 2026, and I look forward to working together to help shape the future of Korea’s capital markets.
